Goals For Food

During the 2023-24 season, the Maine Mariners teamed up with Evergreen Credit Union to help end hunger in Maine in the Goals for Food program!

For each goal scored on home ice, $50 was be donated to local food pantries. Each goal helped prepare as many as 100 meals for Mainers. With 129 goals scored at home in the regular season and playoffs, 12,900 meals for Mainers were donated!

Funds are allocated to Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization. Resources are then distributed to food pantries in southern Maine. Some locations receiving funding include:

• Good Shepard Food Bank 
• South Portland Food Pantry
• Windham Food Pantry
• Westbrook Food Pantry
• Crosswalk Outreach in Naples
• Project Grace in Scarborough
